Christian Benteke says he's fully fit for the clash with Chelsea |
CHRISTIAN BENTEKE has insisted he is fit and ready to play against Chelsea this weekend.
Liverpool take on the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (12.45pm) in a crunch fixture that could determine Jose Mourinho's fate.
News News Blog Sport understands that if the Portuguese fails to get a result against the Reds then he could face the sack.
And Benteke will be doing everything within his power to get the win for the visitors, after confirming he is fully fit after the Southampton game.
"I'm good, I just felt something during the game against Southampton last week. Now it's behind me and I'm looking forward to the Chelsea game," he said.
"Injuries are part of football but I'm trying to do everything I can to be fit for the rest of the season and to play every game.
"I try to stay as long as possible [at Melwood] to be really fully fit."
The Belgium international has made eight appearances for the Reds this season, scoring three times.
And he grabbed his first goal for new manager Klopp last weekend in the dramatic 1-1 draw with Southampton.
