Jurgen Klopp admits his Liverpool team lack 'self-confidence' after their 1-1 draw to Rubin Kazan
JURGEN KLOPP'S Anfield debut fell flat as Liverpool failed to overcome 10-man Rubin Kazan, and he admitted “the team is not full of self-confidence”.

The new Liverpool manager is searching for his first win after seeing his side come from behind to eke out a 1-1 draw against Kazan, who are languishing in 12th place in the Russian league.
Liverpool saw Marko Devic open the scoring and benefited from the dismissal of Oleg Kuzmin whose red card in the 36th minute was immediately followed by a scrambled equaliser from Emre Can.

It was Liverpool’s third successive 1-1 stalemate of their Europa League campaign as Klopp saw his team muster 35 attempts on goal but only six on target.
Klopp, whose side now travel to Russia in a fortnight in second place in Group B but four points behind leaders FC Sion, insisted afterwards he was not down-heartened.

“Oh, it’s not frustrating,” he said. “Usually it is.
“But what we did today was better. Sometimes faster, sometimes more consequence, a nd we got into better positions. The guys tried.
“We got this very, very nice goal. Of course, we could have defended better (for the first goal) but in the last moments it was brilliant from their striker.

Liverpool benefited from Oleg Kuzmin's sending-off but failed to make the most of the advantage
“Against 10 men, we had to find solutions, sometimes we found them. “We had many shots on the goal, like 35.
“I would say that 98 per cent is okay, but the last two per cent is down to the decision-making.”
Christian Benteke, who returned after a five match absence through injury, hit the post in the closing stages, but the cutting edge that has been blunted all season was again evident.
