HALO 5: Guardians landed with a bang today as Microsoft revealed they have plans for further announcements tonight during the game's live Xbox One launch.
The Master Chief touched down in London as Microsoft and 343 Industries marked the pre-release celebrations for one of the year's biggest launches.
The studio shared some epic new shots of the sci-fi hero posing alongside his new nemesis, Agent Locke, in front of some rather explosions and London landmarks.
A London launch event for Halo 5: Guardians is set to kick off tonight, including a two-and-a-half-hour gaming livestream featuring a tournament between the UK’s biggest gaming YouTubers and fans; a live in-game walk-through from 343 Industries’ Franchise Development Director, Frank O’Connor; along with giveaways and appearances from special guests.
Fans can tune in live from 7.30pm GMT and will be followed by an even bigger event that Microsoft have hinted could include more news for Xbox One owners.

The worldwide Halo 5: Live six-hour broadcast starts at 10pm GMT and will include multiple launch celebrations held in key international cities.
Microsoft have promised that it will feature exclusive gameplay reveals, celebrity appearances and live interviews with the 343 Industries development team.
Xbox engineering boss Mike Ybarra told fans on Twitter that they should be prepared to hear more about things beyond just Halo tonight.
He tweeted: "I encourage everyone to watch Halo 5: Live. You might hear about things beyond Halo."
“‘Halo 5: Guardians’ is the game we have always dreamed of making, and it was important to us that Halo fans in every corner of the world could join us in an epic-scale launch celebration,” said Bonnie Ross, corporate vice president and head of 343 Industries.
“Whether they tune into the live broadcast on YouTube or come out and celebrate with us in person at one of our global fan events, we hope Halo Nation will help make ‘Halo 5: Guardians’ the biggest game launch in Xbox history.”

Halo 5: Live from Microsoft will be streamed in partnership with YouTube and is hosted by Major Nelson, Geoff Keighley, Blair Herter, and Jessica Chobot, ahead of the game's launch on October 27.
Planned Halo 5: Live broadcast events includes:
- The world premiere of “Halo: The Fall of Reach” episode one, the new animated series that tells the dramatic tale of the origin and intrigue behind the SPARTAN program that propelled characters like the Master Chief and Dr. Catherine Halsey into the pantheon of Halo lore.
- The first Xbox roundtable featuring the writers behind “Halo 5: Guardians” and Nathan Fillion, the voice of Spartan Buck.
- Special documentaries will get up close and personal with Halo superfans around the world, showcasing what makes Halo Nation unlike any other community in gaming.
- A lucky fan in Australia will play “Halo 5: Guardians” from a helicopter flying over Sydney, as gameplay is broadcasted via a screen suspended from a second helicopter.
