GTA 5 update: Lamar brings San Andreas gang war back to Los Santos, Rockstar promise more
The GTA 5 update will include new missions bringing back the San Andreas gang wars

ROCKSTAR unveiled its latest update for GTA 5's popular Online mode and it includes a huge list of new content set to bypass the Xbox 360 and PS3.

UPDATE TWO: Lamar Davis is set to spark a new gang war between the Vagos and the Ballas in GTA 5's latest online update with fans are set to learn more this week, Rockstar have confirmed.
The trailer posted by developers earlier this week showed off some of the backstory of the new content, revealing Franklin's friend stirring up some serious trouble between the rivals in order to profit and control the Lowrider scene.
Everything about this new update speaks to the series' earlier title GTA: San Andreas, which included a huge range of 1991 vehicles that could be modded.
It will also bring back some of the gangs that played a crucial role in the previous title, something that was missing from GTA's story mode.
Could we also see the return of the Lowrider Challenge? It was a mini-game in San Andreas and would fit in nicely with the game's new Freemode Events.
Rockstar have yet to announce the full list of tweaks to the popular Online multiplayer, telling fans that more is to be announced.
"Get ready for GTA Online: Lowriders next week Tuesday and stay tuned for more info to come," a message from the developers reads.
"The upwardly mobile can also expand their garage space and fleet of vehicles with the addition of the oft-requested fourth purchasable property. There’s also tons of new clothing, hair and accessory options as well as 3 new Adversary Modes and more.2
Three new Adversary mode games will be added in the Lowrider expansion, and will hopefully follow the theme of the rest of the new content.

GTA 5's Lowrider expansion is coming October 20
UPDATE ONE: Rockstar have released the official trailer for the GTA Online: Lowrider expansion.
It features Lamar as he sets out on his quest to dominate the Lowrider scene and features the continuing Ballas-Grove Street gang war.
The new missions are part of the update that arrives next week, although it is unclear how many or what kind of payout they provide.
It's clear fans will want to bulk up their bank balances ahead of release, with the new vehicles being added looking likely to cost a lot of in-game cash when it comes to all the best customisations.

A message from Rockstar hinted at the new missions being added the game, explaining: "keep an eye out for calls and texts from Lamar – he’s making moves of his own through a series of new missions and he’s going to need your help.
"You’ll want to hit up your trusted allies, wheelmen, and sharpshooters for backup too, as things are going to get hectic."
Come October 20, Xbox One, PS4 and PC gamers will be able to visit Benny’s Original Motor Works, buy and customise new Lowriders models via their in-game phone and purchase a fourth property in Los Santos and Blaine County.

GTA 5's Lowrider update is skipping Xbox 360 and PS3 fans, Rockstar has confirmed
Players will be able to make big modifications to the fleet of new vehicles, including decking out engine blocks with covers and air filters, coating interiors with velour, leather and patterns, while also getting to choose custom colours and designs for dials and new steering wheel and custom shift levers.
It's a big change to GTA 5's usual setup and is the second update released from Rockstar that really gives some original new options.
Players can give these cars hydraulics, boost stereo performance with new speakers and subs and open up the vehicle doors, hood and trunk with their in-game phones.

If you look at both the Freemode Events introduced earlier this year and now the GTA Online Lowrider update, they are both on a different level, providing fresh new options that were probably not possible on the older platforms.
It sounds like a lot of fun and unfortunately, none of it is for Xbox 360 and PS3 players.
Rockstar have warned in the past that hardware limitation would play a factor in when update would trail off for last-gen owners and it seems we have reached that point.

The developers have yet to announce any consolation updates for Xbox 360 and PS3 users, although with Halloween around the corner, there could be some specially setup Weekend Events just for last-gen customers planned.
A message covering the reasons behind Rockstar decisions, explains: "Future content updates such as this are only possible on the newer and more powerful systems.
"As there isn’t enough memory available to add to the game on the older systems, we cannot make any more meaningful content updates without putting the entire game at risk."
