Stephen French appeared to have a VIP spot next to the players |
NOTORIOUS Liverpool hardman Stephen 'The Devil' French was spotted at last night's Capital One Cup game against Bournemouth at Anfield.
The gangster was sat in the VIP seating area next to Mamadou Sakho and Emre Can as the Reds qualified for the quarter-finals with a 1-0 win over the Cherries.
And while the evening went to plan without any drama for Jurgen Klopp's side, some were unhappy to see French in the crowd.
Stephen French got his nickname 'The Devil' for being a no nonsense enforcer |
The tough guy earned his nickname because he struck such fear into the drug dealers he "taxed" and tortured.
And many fans expressed their concern about him being allowed in the stadium, especially so close to the players.

An anonymous fan told the Liverpool Echo: "My 14-year-old son is at that match and there's Stephen French who has said half a dozen people want to kill him.
"What if someone takes a shot at him? I think it's disgusting he's allowed to be there. Someone should tell Klopp."
However, some took a more light-hearted approach to spotting the gangster in the crowd.
One person tweeted: "Stephen French sitting with the injured Liverpool players. Google him. He sits where he wants. Definitely."
Another added: "Stephen French was on Danny Dyers deadliest men now he's sat in a directors box next to LFC deadliest man. The beast Sakho."
