Far Cry Primal has a release date set for February 23 on Xbox One and PS4 |
FAR Cry Primal pits man against nature in a Stone Age, where weapon crafting and tribal warfare will play a big role, Ubisoft has confirmed.
Revealed earlier this week, Far Cry Primal promises to take you back to a time when man was definitely not at the top of the food chain in the untamed land of Oros.
Megafauna battles are going to play a key role in this game and as the new trailers shows, gamers will have to watch their step if they want main character Takkar to survive.
Fans on Xbox One, PS4 and PC will have the chance to craft their own tools and weapons from the wild resources around them, while taking on the different tribes and predators who will pose the main threat.
Ubisoft say that Takkar will need to guard his fledgling group carefully to ensure its survival and growth and have also pledged to create another massive vibrant open world for gamers to explore.

“The Stone Age is the perfect setting for a Far Cry game.” said Jean-Christophe Guyot, creative director, Ubisoft.
“Far Cry usually puts you at the edge of the known world, in a beautiful, lawless and savage frontier. The Stone Age is, in a way, the very first frontier for humankind; it’s the time when humans put a stick in the ground and claimed land for their own, the time when we started climbing the food chain.
"That came with conflict, against other humans of course, but also against nature itself.”
Far Cry Primal is scheduled for release on February 23, 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the PC version will be released in March 2016.
