Jurgen Klopp takes Liverpool training |
NEW Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been snapped taking training at Melwood as players start returning from international duty.
Klopp, who was named as Brendan Rodgers' replacement at Anfield, was all smiles as he took the session ahead of Liverpool's clash against Tottenham on Saturday.
England trio Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Danny Ings were present after returning from international duty.
Dejan Lovren and Emre Can were also took part in the hour-long session.
While the Reds face a difficult clash against Spurs this weekend, the former Borussia Dortmund boss is keen to allow his new players to impress before looking for January reinforcements.
But Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan, Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic have all been subject to rumours of a potential move to Anfield
“I have no intention whatsoever to lure Dortmund's stars to Liverpool," Klopp told German newspaper Bild.
“It is only October and I don't even know how many games there are left until the winter.
“But we clearly have plenty of games left and we will be taking a look at our own players first.”
Klopp has had an eventful time since joining Liverpool last week.
The German was spotted having a drink with the Liverpool locals after his appointment while his attempt to park at Melwood yesterday didn't go entirely to plan.
