EE is giving away FREE 4G data for one year and here's how to get it
EE has announced a slew of new gadgets and mobile price plans
MOBILE firm EE has announced its first Christmas deal of the season – 500MB of 4G data for FREE bundled with eligible Pay As You Go contracts.

It might only be October but that's not stopping mobile carrier EE from getting into the festive spirit.
The 4G giant has announced a new Christmas promotion that hands over 500MB of free 4G data each month to new customers for an entire year.
They say there is no such thing as a free lunch and there is a small catch with the free EE data – it's only available on select pay as you go smartphones, tablets and connected products.

Fortunately the free deal comes bundled with the vast majority of EE's own-brand gadgets including the Rook smartphone, Action Cam, Osprey Wi-Fi hotspot, Buzzard in-car Wi-Fi and the new children-friendly Robin tablet.
And for customers who already have an existing contract with EE, the UK firm is offering a 10 per cent price-cut each month to any existing contract when customers add a new pay monthly tablet, 4GEE WiFi, selected smartphone or SIM plan.
EE is expected to announced more details on the new in the coming weeks.
The news comes after EE announced a slew of new 4G-filled products aimed at business and consumers.

Amongst the new announcements, EE unveiled its new Connected Camera – a 4G live streamer
Amongst the announcements, which were made during an EE press conference in central London earlier this week, was the 4GEE Capture Cam which stream live video footage over 4G.
EE says it has designed the new camera to be small, lightweight, portable and simple to use.
The new device includes 4GB of expandable memory and can snap content using a high-quality 8MP camera.

With one click you can instantly stream video live from the camera to the integrated sharing app and invite your mates to watch what you're up to.
4GEE Capture Cam will be available before Christmas 2015 – with full pricing and availability to be announced soon.
Finally, it's been announced that BT's £12.5billion takeover of EE, has been cleared by merger watchdogs.
The Competition and Markets Authority gave the deal the thumbs up in a move that's likely to anger many of EE's rivals.

However, the CMA could see no reason why the deal shouldn't go through with its chair, John Wooton, saying: "We provisionally think that the retail mobile market in the UK, with four main mobile providers and a substantial number of smaller operators, is competitive."
The panel decided that because BT was currently only a small player in the mobile market, ownership of EE was unlikely to significantly reduce retail choice for consumers.
BT chief executive Gavin Patterson said: "We're pleased that the CMA has provisionally approved BT's acquisition of EE.
"The combined BT and EE will be good for the UK, providing investment and ensuring consumers and businesses can benefit from further innovation in a highly competitive market."
