Ilkay Gundogan has been linked with a move to Liverpool
ILKAY GUNDOGAN sparked rumours of a move to Liverpool by wishing Jurgen Klopp well in an emotional post to his official Facebook page.
The Germany international was brought to Borussia Dortmund by Klopp in 2011 and made more than 100 appearances under his tutelage.He is one of a number of players who have been linked with a move to join him on Merseyside, although Klopp himself insists he will not raid his former employers for their star players."That's not my intention at all," he told German newspaper Bild.However, Gundogan could hardly contain himself in his post on social media and it only served to further enhance the rumours.Not only did he heap praise on his ex-boss, the 24-year-old reserved special praise for Liverpool and suggested they were now contenders for the Premier League title.
Gundogan played under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund for four years
He said: "Wow! What a hype around the Jürgen Klopp-exchange to Liverpool! Congratulations to Liverpool FC for this commitment! "I am sure that he, the Reds in the Premier League will again form a genuine top team and wish him all the best! "And maybe we'll see this season in the UEFA Europa League again, Kloppo!"
