Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho confirms he will appeal £50k FA fine and stadium ban
Jose Mourinho has confirmed he will appeal the FA fine and ban he received
JOSE MOURINHO has confirmed he will be appealing the fine and stadium ban he received for comments made after Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Southampton.

The Chelsea boss was outraged by the FA’s ruling to fine him £50,000 and award him a suspended one-game stadium ban for saying referees were ‘afraid’ to give his club penalties.
He branded the decision ‘an absolute disgrace’ and admitted that he was ‘astonished’ by the punishment, at the launch of his book ‘Mourinho’.
And he has now confirmed that he will be appealing the fine and ban in order to remain ‘honest with himself’.
When asked if he had received written reasons for the FA’s ruling and whether he had read them, he replied simply: “Yes, yes.”

And when asked if he would be appealing the charges he added bluntly: “Yes.
“I have to be honest with myself, that's the most important thing.”
And the Portuguese admitted he is not concerned by what he said at the launch of his new book at Waterstones Piccadilly.
“I think, in the moment, we have got the written reasons and I decided to appeal.
“So it's the moment to stop with my opinions and not say anything more than I did already. I was very objective in my sadness facing the situation.”
