Arsenal 2 Bayern Munich 0: Giroud and Ozil strikes secure Gunners’ first Group F win
Olivier Giroud secures all three points against Bayern Munich
The Gunners took the lead at the Emirates Stadium after 77 minutes, when substitute Olivier Giroud bundled in a Santi Cazorla free-kick from close range.
There was an element of handball about the goal, but Giroud knew nothing about it as he headed the ball onto his own hand.
Arsenal wrapped up the win deep into stoppage time when Hector Bellerin burst down the right flank to find Mesit Ozil six yards out.
Ther German's shot was clawed out by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, but the assistant behind the goal signalled that it crossed the line.
Arsene Wenger's men rise to third in Group F to give their chances of progressing to the knock-out stages a real boost following defeats to Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb.
