GOOGLE has included a helpful trick to improve the GPS signal on any smartphone running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Android’s latest update brings with it a wealth of cool new features and tweaks to enhance the Android experience.
The latest version of the mobile operating system has already started to roll out across the globe – and you can find out when to expect the update here.
However, some Marshmallow-powered Android users have noticed GPS connectivity struggles to lockdown a location, which is bad news for those with a bad sense of direction.
Luckily there is a fix for the spotty GPS connectivity.

Unfortunately there will always be times when GPS fails you.
If you find yourself in a particularly built-up area or somewhere on the edge of civilisation then ultimately the signal from GPS satellites could become lost in the ether. Luckily a brand new feature found on Android’s Marshmallow update will allow your phone to use Bluetooth to further boost location accuracy.
To put it into action open Settings > Location.
Tap the three dots to reveal the Options menu. Choose Scanning.

Next you’ll see two options.
Tap on Bluetooth scanning to toggle this feature on/off. You'll want it turned on.
Congratulations your smartphone now boasts the ultimate location-aware powers.

Android owners were previously able to take advantage of other advanced features that satisfied a similar need.
For instance, if you were to delve deep into Location settings you’d uncover the High accuracy mode that uses a combination of GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks to determine your phone’s location.
In Android Lollipop, Google ditched the accuracy tags and referred to the locating method instead. GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks is selected by default.
Elsewhere Advanced Wi-Fi hides options that lets Google continually scan for networks even when your Wi-Fi is switched off.
