Unfortunately there will always be times when GPS fails you.
If you find yourself in a particularly built-up area or somewhere on the edge of civilisation then ultimately the signal from GPS satellites could become lost in the ether.  Luckily a brand new feature found on Android’s Marshmallow update will allow your phone to use Bluetooth to further boost location accuracy.

Android owners were previously able to take advantage of other advanced features that satisfied a similar need.
For instance, if you were to delve deep into Location settings you’d uncover the High accuracy mode that uses a combination of GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks to determine your phone’s location.
In Android Lollipop, Google ditched the accuracy tags and referred to the locating method instead. GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks is selected by default.
Elsewhere Advanced Wi-Fi hides options that lets Google continually scan for networks even when your Wi-Fi is switched off.
