Wales manager Chris Coleman wants his players to make history by securing a Euro 2016 spot
CHRIS COLEMAN wants his players to secure their place in the pantheon of Welsh football's greats and prove they are the golden generation by reaching Euro 2016.

While there were near misses in 1993 and 2003, Wales have never had a better chance to reach a first major tournament since the 1958 World Cup after Gareth Bale once again stole the show by heading home the winner in Cyprus.
Wales face Israel in Cardiff tomorrow needing three more points to be sure of their place in France next summer.

It would see a crop of players long regarded as one of the principality's finest fulfil their potential, and Coleman wants them to write their names in history.
"This will be the golden generation when I'm sitting here with a smile on my face and we're celebrating because we've got enough points," he said.
"Then, absolutely this will be the golden generation and they will deserve it.

"I said back in the first camp in Andorra, to the players, I thought as a group they were something special.
"For a long time people have spoken of them as a golden generation, as a wonderful group of players.
"With that comes a bit of pressure. There's a lot of quality there. We have to handle that, but it is there for us now and I do believe the moment is on the way."
