Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a move to Barcelona |
GRAHAM HUNTER believes Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho could be the perfect fit for Barcelona in the future.
The Spanish giants have been linked with another raid on Brendan Rodgers' side, while
Neymar fuelled rumours by claiming he would love them to sign him.
Both clubs have previous, with Barca prising Luis Suarez from Merseyside in a £75million deal last summer.
Hunter concedes a move for Coutinho is unlikely in the short-term but believes it something that could well be re-visited in the future.“It makes sense. The players know each other. Coutinho has the skill-set and he’s the right type of guy for the marketing that Barcelona like a lot indeed," he told Sky Sports.“It’s something that you can see them coming back to but wages, price and availability. "This is a story we’ll be coming back to time and time again as this fella has the ability.“At some stage Barcelona will have to look at that frontline of Neymar, Messi and Suarez and think ‘are they good enough?’ "The answer for many years to come from that question is yes.“Coutinho is safe for the moment but one day at the Camp Nou? Yeah. In the next couple of transfer markets? I don’t think so.”
