Destiny's King's Fall Raid took seven hours to complete |
THE News News Blog bring you the top PS4 news from around the World Wide Web, including Destiny's toughest challenge, Black Ops 3 mode return and a FIFA 16 FUT update.
Bungie are celebrating the first team to defeat Destiny's King's Fall Raid, chronicling their seven-hour attempt following its release last week.
The team that emerged victorious revealed that they had prepared for the assault by taking on multiple Strike missions until the grind for the perfect light level had been completed.
The six-player fireteam, including Charionna, Rebelize, FallingCow, Teawrex, Gothalion and Broman, spoke after their lengthy attempt about what was the hardest part of conquering King's Fall.
Teawrex commented: I'd say it was when we were facing off against Oryx for the later part of our Raid.
"Sometimes we could get the mechanics to work for us, and then sometimes nothing would work at all with seemingly no change in our strategy.
"Nothing can feel more frustrating than lacking a vital piece to a puzzle. We'd do fantastic damage during the phases where we were supposed to, then the next time we'd do almost none at all.
"Going back and forth between near perfect damage cycles to no damage done is brutal. Eventually we figured out that missing piece and killed The Taken King once and for all.
"Lastly, nothing comes without practice. Just because an encounter seems impossible, does not mean that it is."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 developers, Treyarch look on course to add another playlist that has proved a fan-favourite in the past.
Gamers have been asking what old and new features are set to be added to BO3 over the past year and it appears design director David Vonderhaar has confirmed that the Mercenary Moshpit playlist will be making an appearance.
The multiplayer choice makes sure that teams are completely randomised, removing the chance of friends and clans sticking together and effectively spreading the talent across both teams.
It proved a popular choice for casuals and those who hadn't signed up to a dedicated group in past Call of Duty games and also helped bring down the chatter on player headsets.
Black Ops 3 launches November 6 and will be featured alongside a new PS4 1TB bundle |
FIFA 16 was released in the UK today and has always proved a popular choice due to the game's FIFA Ultimate Team mode.
There have been a few update since FIFA 15, with Price Ranges starting much wider and making it easier to buy and sell players on the Transfer Market.
"Our aim this year is to keep Price Ranges as wide as possible throughout the season to offer a fair environment for trading and to protect the market against coin buying," developers EA Sports revealed before launch.
"The less coin farming and buying we see within FUT 16, the wider the Price Ranges will stay."
The FUT Draft is another new feature to FIFA 16, allowing fans to draft a squad and challenge opponents in a series of up to four matches to win big rewards for their club.
Describing the new feature,
"It's a brand new way to play FUT, we think this is the biggest thing we've done in Ultimate Team since we released the first mode.
"If you're able to win four matches, you get the better prizes that go back to your FUT club, it also means you have to decide whether to pick the best rated player, or the player with the best team chemistry.
