Peter Crouch: Spurs have gone backwards since I left
Peter Crouch scored 24 goals in two seasons at Spurs
PETER CROUCH believes Spurs have gone backwards since they qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals in 2011.

Under Harry Redknapp, Crouch was was part of the team which qualified for Europe's premier competition for the first time in 2010 and lost out to Real Madrid in the knockout stages.
There has been a complete overhaul at White Hart Lane with no member of that squad still at the club under Mauricio Pochettino.

Crouch left for Stoke in 2011 and he thinks there was a better team back then but does tip Pochettino to get things right.
He said on talkSPORT: "The side I played in was fantastic we had some amazing players, and I think they have gone backwards since then – it’s pretty obvious to say that.

"A lot of those players have moved on for whatever reason, and they’ve tried to replace them with foreign players – players who perhaps don’t know the league as well as the players I played with.
"There’s been a couple of changes in management as well, so it’s not as settled there as it was when I was at the club.

"But I like the manager [Mauricio Pochettino] and I think he will get it right.
"They’ve got a young side and maybe it will take time to get back there."
