NINTENDO news this week includes a new update on the upcoming Zelda title coming to the 3DS platform.
Fans eager to get started with Link's latest quest have been given more information on how it can be shared between two Nintendo devices.
Download play will be available in The Legend of Zelda: TriForce Heroes on 3DS, allowing gamers to share the multiplayer action with a friend.
It means that someone who doesn't own the game can jump in and will also have the chance to transfer over their saved data if they buy Tri Force Heroes to explore the other features.
Download Play was first introduced on the Nintendo DS and has become a popular feature for those wanting to try out demos and different titles.
There's an expanding list of games that use it, including Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Starfox 64 3D, Mario Tennis Open, Tetris Axis, Mario Party Island Tour and more.
Tri Force Heroes allows for Download Play through the three-player campaign mode only, there will be no access to the PVP zone included in the title.
Players will only be limited to the worlds and dungeons unlocked by the owner, so make sure they get going on it soon after launch.
Nintendo have also confirmed that fans on 3DS can look forward to 32 Triforce heroes stages playing solo or online co-op, these co-op partners do not have on your 3DS friends list, however.
Triforce Heroes also have 36 outfits to collect, including unique abilities that will help solve puzzles.
Triforce Heroes hits shelves on October 23, with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer arriving earlier on October 2.
The Pokemon Company recently revealed their plans to expand the popular games franchise onto the Nintendo NX project.
