Hugo Lloris has suggested he had offers to leave Spurs this summer |
HUGO LLORIS has hinted that he would have been open to a move to Manchester United this summer.
The 28-year-old was mooted as a possible replacement for David De Gea at Old Trafford, had he completed a move to Real Madrid.
L'Equipe reports that members of United's board were keen to land the Frenchman, however Louis van Gaal had his sights set elsewhere.
And now Lloris has suggested that he would have been open to a move away from White Hart Lane, but the deal didn't materialise.
Speaking ahead of France's game against Portugal, he said: "A lot of things were said and written - there could have been a development there but the desired movement didn't happen."
However, Lloris insists the speculation hasn't distracted him from succeeding with Spurs this season.
He added: "I have a lot of affection for Tottenham. I feel respected, I have a very good relationship with the staff and I'm ready to play the best season possible."
