Uwe Rosler to hold talks with Sam Byram ahead of Middlesbrough game |
LEEDS boss Uwe Rosler is to hold talks with Sam Byram ahead of Sunday's trip to Middlesbrough as speculation mounts over the winger's future.
Byram, 22, is out of contract next summer and a new offer - believed to be on reduced terms - has been rejected on several occasions by the player's agent Colin Pomford.
His refusal to sign a new deal has prompted an angry response from Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino, who claimed this week the player thought he was too big for the club.
The right-back's contract situation has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton, who are all keen on landing him in a cut-price deal in January.
Rosler said: "I spoke to Sam about it on Wednesday. On Thursday we had the day off and (on Friday) I haven't spoken to him, but (on Saturday) I will speak with him again."

"The player has to trust me. Obviously I'm searching for feedback and the player has to have the confidence to give me honest feedback. That is where we are."
