Javier Hernandez looking forward to Bayer Leverkusen challenge |
JAVIER HERNANDEZ admits his decision to leave Manchester United for Bayer Leverkusen was not difficult.
The Mexican striker has signed for the Bundesliga club until 2018 in a deal believed to be worth £7.3million.
And now Hernandez, who was also linked with West Ham and Tottenham, is looking forward to regular football at the BayArena. After completing the move, he said: "I want to go back to feeling important and happy. I want to find happiness. "Bayer made me feel important and loved and coming here was not a difficult decision to make. They made me feel wanted. "I want to help and achieve important things. I have felt very loved. I hope to accomplish things in my head and in my heart."
The 27-year-old, who was sent out on loan to Real Madrid last term, has struggled for game time under boss Louis van Gaal.
