iPhone 6S Launch: Everything to expect from Apple’s HUGE event this week
Some reports suggest Apple will add animated backgrounds to the new iPhone
NEW Apple iPhone 6S will reportedly be THICKER than current model, have a pressure-sensitive Force Touch display as well as brand-new camera functionality, including panorama selfies and 4K video.

Apple will reportedly unveil two new iPhone 6S models: the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.
As we have come to expect with the “S” upgrade, both handsets will boast the same industrial design as their predecessor.
However it is widely believed that Apple will increase the size of the case to strengthen the design and avoid another BendGate scandal.
The Cupertino company is also rumoured to use the 7000 Series aluminum alloy it developed for the Apple Watch Sport.

Apple claims on its website that its custom alloy is “60 perccent stronger than standard alloys. Yet it’s very light.
“It’s also exceptionally pure, with a beautifully consistent appearance that’s difficult to achieve with traditional aluminium alloys.”
The slightly larger case – rumoured to be 7.08mm thick, compared to the 6.9mm iPhone 6 – will allow Apple to include its new Force Touch technology.
Force Touch uses pressure-sensitivity to add layers of perceived depth to the multitouch display.
Apple first unveiled the technology when it announced the Apple Watch during the launch event for the iPhone 6, this time last year.

Since the launch of the Watch, the Force Touch technology has been added to the trackpad of the latest range of MacBook Pro netbooks.
It is believed that Apple will use Force Touch to hide complicated menu options within its iOS 9 software.
Force Pressing – pushing down harder onto the display at a chosen point – will enable these options.
Apple also appears set to bump the current eight megapixel rear camera to 12 in the next generation iPhone.

This new 12 megapixel shooter will have the ability to shoot 4k resolution video footage, it has been reported.
The Californian firm is also expected to improve the front-facing camera on the device.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus currently have just 720p HD front-facing cameras however Apple is expected to increase these to support 1080p video.
Code from a developer preview of iOS 9 revealed support for a front-facing LED flash and slow-motion video.
Other additions in iOS 9 reportedly include the ability to take a panorama from the selfie camera.

Apple currently reserves the panorama, slow-motion and full HD capture for its eight-megapixel rear facing camera.
Developer Hamza Sood first reported the changes in the code.
Apple is also expected to increase the RAM in the next iPhone from the 1GB used in current models up to a healthy 2GB.
Finally the firm will reportedly introduce a new colour to the iPhone lineup.

Although some reports have labelled the new colour pink – it is now believed the next iPhone will instead ship with a Rose Gold option.
This will be the fourth colour option available for the Apple iPhone, joining Space Grey, Silver and Gold.
Apple is also expected to introduce a dramatically updated Apple TV as well as a larger-screen iPad Pro during its iPhone event, next week.
The new iPhone models are expected to go on sale on September 18th – a date revealed by the recent catastrophic Vodafone leak.
