GTA 5 update release date revealed as Rockstar unveil new modes and fresh online madness
GTA Online's new Freemode Events are coming next week
GTA 5 will soon see the launch of new content for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and Rockstar have been getting warmed up.

UPDATE ONE: Rockstar have revealed a new Freemode Event update that will allow for the removal of menus, lobbies and load times.
It will give fans the chance to enter servers with open Freemode session filled with chaotic new games and challenges, including new ones such as King of the Castle and Hunt the Beast.
Rockstar have confirmed that the new update will be released next week but have yet to offer what day it will be rolled out on.
A Rockstar Newswire post explains: "One of these events can kick off at any given moment while in Freemode, and you can customize your session to decide exactly which ones will happen – so you can play as much or as little of this new content as you like.
"Feeling locked and stocked? Look out for King of the Castle – an every man for himself turf war where you’ll need to ascend and claim the designated ‘castle’ as your territory – and then fend off everyone else as they go all out to dethrone you.
"Form fragile alliances and work together in modes like Hunt the Beast, where one volunteer is temporarily transformed into a faster, stronger, beastly character who must escape relentless pursuers.
"Freemode Events also take the shape of insane stunt challenges, such as popping the longest wheelie, catching the most air in a land vehicle, or performing the most near misses in a vehicle without crashing."
It it unclear if these new options will be available to players on Xbox 360 and PS3, with Rockstar citing that they are "taking full advantage of the latest generation of consoles and PC hardware."
The update will also include the new Rockstar Editor for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and new options for those on PC.
WARNING: The Rockstar trailer below includes in-game violence.

The Rockstar Editor is set to be launched for PS4 and Xbox One, along with overall tweaks for the PC platform.
The developer have also confirmed that new content will also be added to GTA Online, although they have failed to reveal just what to expect.
The new update will arrive before the end of September and Rockstar have been sharing their favourite fan-made videos to celebrate.
An official Rockstar post reads: "Fans continue to amaze us with their incredible videos utilizing the power of the Rockstar Editor and Director Mode, and we can't wait until the Rockstar Editor is made available for prospective PS4 and Xbox One directors later this month.
"In our latest collection of fan-created videos, we have a grim tale of revenge, some compromising Los Santos security camera footage and a moving video dedicated to a lost loved one."
Six videos have been selected, A Man's Journey Through History, I've Seen Footage, The Debt, Feather III, Yuppie And Alien and Magnum, P.I. starring Trevor Philips.
They can all be found here, with four other fan-created clips selected by Rockstar near the bottom of their Newswire post.

However, some fans continue to tinker away at their own creations ahead of the September launch of the new content.
A new Mario Kart meets GTA 5 mod has been released with a video, showing the iconic character speeding around Los Santos.
The video shows off the two mods that can be downloaded, the Mario mask mod and the separate kart mod, although caution is advised when installing any unofficial files from the internet.
You can watch the carnage-filled run of Mario below but be advised there is in-game violence included.
