GTA 5: Rockstar reveal the bad news for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers and talk future expansions
The GTA 5 update is only for PS4, Xbox One and PC users
GTA 5 is set to leave their faithful Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers behind as Rockstar look to capitalise on the power of the Xbox One, PS4 and PC

A shake-up is coming to Los Santos which will see GTA Online players take part in Freemode Events without having to load into a lobby.
There will be no challenges and modes to try out, some based around racing, others king of the Hill-style deathmatches, while others have yet to be revealed.
It's something fans have been hoping for and probably didn't expect to be announced, a chance to avoid queues and wobbly lobbies, which depend on gamers not having a change of hearts and back out at the last minute.
The PS4 and Xbox One are also set to get the new Rockstar Editor, streamlined for consoles and offering a few new bells and whistles which will also appear on the PC as well.
However, all these new features are not coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3, with Rockstar pretty much drawing a line under last-gen overhauls.

That's not to say new vehicles and clothing won't continue to be added for all platforms, although memory limitations may play a role in how long this goes on for.
It has certainly affected these recent changes to GTA 5, with a recent Rockstar statement explaining: "To @irockjays81 @Eliorgez2312 and others asking about new cars, clothes and other items - we’re definitely working on more vehicles among other things for you to collect for future updates – please make sure to stay tuned here at the Newswire for more info about that soon.
"To @R_Healey @LuisASantiagoM and others asking, the Freemode Events Update is only for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. As we’d mentioned previously in our Asked & Answered series here at the Newswire, future content updates like this one would only be possible on the newer and more powerful systems."
