Google Nexus 5X: All the Details, Full Specs, UK Price and Release Date
The Google Nexus 5X is an update to one of the most popular Nexus smartphones of all-time
GOOGLE has unveiled an update to its popular Nexus smartphone, the Google Nexus 5X.

Google has announced an update to the Nexus 5 smartphone, which it first released back in October 2015.
The move is sure to prove popular amongst Android fans, as the Nexus 5X was always a favourite amongst Android purists.
The updated smartphone boasts a manageable 5.2inch Full HD display – which should be much easier to use one-handed than the pocket-straining Nexus 6P phablet.
LG has packed a Full HD resolution into the LCD display, which works out at a sharp 424pixels-per-inch.

Google claims the new LG-built Nexus 5X has "top-line performance" but still keeps an impressive all-day battery-life.
Powering the smallest of the two new handsets is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 2GB of RAM.
Google is offering two options for internal storage, 16GB or 32GB, as well as a $50 Google Play Store voucher for anyone who buys the device from Google's store.
Just like its larger cousin the Nexus 6P, the new Google smartphone sports a fingerprint scanner, which is dubbed Nexus Imprint.

The Nexus 5X also has the same 12.3megapixel with f/2.0 aperture, IR laser-assisted auto-focus and 4K video capture as the Google Nexus 6P.
The rear camera also supports slow-motion 120fps video capture for the first time, which is also now supported in Google Photos to store and edit.

On the front of the device, there is a five-megapixel selfie camera with the same f/2.0 aperture.
A hefty 2700mAh battery powers the device through the day.
Like all Google Nexus devices, the smartphone will ship with the latest version of Android – dubbed 6.0 Marshmallow.
Google will be selling the Nexus 5X in the newly-revamped Google Store, alongside the new Chromecast and Pixel devices.
The Nexus 5X will be available for pre-order in the UK today, with initial orders shipping by mid-October.
Google will sell the new Nexus 5X for £339 in the UK. Other carriers including EE, Carphone Warehouse and John Lewis will also be selling the phone next month.
