David Beckham says he agrees with Sir Alex Ferguson's 'world class' calls
DAVID BECKHAM has agreed with Sir Alex Ferguson that he was not a world class Manchester United player.

The list was Eric Cantona, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo, notably snubbing a number of greats including David Beckham.

He said: "If you read the papers or listen to the television commentators, we seem to be awash with 'world-class' footballers.
"In my book there are only two world-class players playing today: Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo was Sir Alex Ferguson's 'ornament on the Christmas tree'
"I don't mean to demean or criticise any of the great or very good footballers who played for me during my 26-year career at United, but there were only four who were world class: Cantona, Giggs, Ronaldo and Scholes.
"And of the four Cristiano was like an ornament on the top of a Christmas tree."
However, instead of being offended, Beckham has agreed with Fergie and claims he felt privileged to have played alongside some of the truly great players.
He told BBC Sport: "Not at all. I played for the greatest manager of all time, I was lucky to play with the players that I did and be successful with the club that I love and still love.
"I tend to agree with the manager, there are certain players that you can call world class and thankfully I played with many of them."
