Yannick Bolasie will line up against the club he was linked with on Sunday |
CRYSTAL PALACE manager Alan Pardew claims the club received no offers for Yannick Bolasie in the summer.
The Palace winger was strongly linked to Tottenham but the Eagles boss says no offer was ever officially lodged.
Pardew was speaking before the pair meet at White Hart lane on Sunday (1.30pm kick-off), where Bolasie is expected to start.
"Yan is a fantastic talent. There was a strong link in the media but actually no link officially from Spurs to us," Pardew said.
"Not manager to manager, not chairman to chairman, chief executive to chief executive - there was no contact.”
"So really and truly therefore it suggests that there was no interest. But the media like that story and it's a good story for this week."
Joel Ward is absent for the clash but fellow defender Damien Delaney should recover from a pelvic injury in time.
Joe Ledley is also back in the squad but Connor Wickham could miss out again.
Elsewhere, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino could have Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Ryan Mason available after injuries.
