Chelsea star: Victory over Arsenal was 'something special'
Nemanja Matic described Chelsea's win over Arsenal as 'something special'
NEMANJA MATIC described Chelsea's 2-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend as "special."

The Blues had got off to a slow start to their Premier League campaign with just one win in five games but three successive victories over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League, Arsenal, and Walsall in the Capital One Cup has seen them get back to winning ways.

A goal from Kurt Zouma and an own goal by Calum Chambers gave Jose Mourinho's side a comfortable victory at Stamford Bridge - and Matic believes that win kickstarted their season into life.
"Of course to win against Arsenal is always something special," the 27-year-old told the club's website. "It is a big derby for us and they are a team like us that wants to win the title.

"It was a big moment and we are happy to take all three points, but also to have a good performance as well.
"We deserved the win, as well as against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Walsall, and it seems like something has changed for us finally, after a frustrating start.
"We know we didn’t have any luck in some games and the manager talked about it a lot, but we have worked in the same way and eventually been rewarded.
Chelsea travel to struggling Newcastle on Saturday (5.30pm) before facing Mourinho's former side Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday (7.45pm). Matic spent three seasons with rivals Benfica.

"After Newcastle we go to Porto in the Champions League," he added. "It is good to be back in this competition and for me personally to go back to Portugal where I played with Benfica.
"People ask me if facing Porto is going to be special but every game is special in its own way, so I won’t have any particular strong feelings before the game. You have to give 100 per cent just the same."
