Chelsea News: £5.4m contract snub, Man Utd ace backed, world records confirmed
Gary Cahill (left) says Wayne Rooney could break England's goalscoring record on Saturday
NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest news and transfers from Stamford Bridge.

Paul Pogba rejected Chelsea's offer of a £5.4million-a-year pay rise to remain at Juventus this summer, according to reports.
The France international, who was trailed by the Premier League champions throughout the transfer window, was offered a contract worth £8.7m a season to sign for the Blues.

Juventus had agreed a £62m transfer fee plus a player that would have seen Pogba join Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, claim Gazzetta dello Sport.
But the 22-year-old refused to sign and has instead opted to command more authority in Turin under his current £3.3m-a-year deal.

Away from transfers, Mourinho has been awarded five world records for his work in football.
The Guinness Book of Records handed the Portuguese gongs for:
• Longest football unbeaten home run by a manager (nine years)
• Most Champions League titles with different clubs (two)
• Youngest manager to reach 100 Champions League matches (49 years 12 days)
• Most points in a Premier League season (95)
• Most games unbeaten at home in the Premier League (77)
Mourinho said: "The fact they gave me the awards in a way that I can put them up in my office is nice.
"It’s something fun and as a kid you could never imagine that one day you would be in the Guinness Book of Records.
"You know me, these awards are for something I did in the past and obviously it’s nice, but for me what’s more important is what I can do in the future."

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has backed Wayne Rooney to break England's goalscoring record tonight.
Manchester United captain Rooney, 29, is one goal off equalling Sir Bobby Charlton's 49 tally which has stood for 45 years.
“For someone so young to have achieved so much in terms of caps, in terms of goals, is absolutely incredible," England team-mate Cahill said.
"He has so many years ahead of him for club and country... he could go on and really smash these records, not just break them.
"I know for him it’s a matter of getting there as soon as he possibly can. If he starts against San Marino (Saturday 5pm), he’ll see that as an opportunity to get some goals.
“Everyone here is willing him on to break the record and it would be a great celebration to win the game and for him to have broken the record. It would be something special."
