Brendan Rodgers pleads with Liverpool fans to stick with faltering team
Brendan Rodgers looks set to bring Daniel Sturridge back into the starting line-up for today's game
BRENDAN RODGERS has delivered a personal plea to Liverpool supporters to stick with his faltering side.

The Liverpool manager – who is set to start Daniel Sturridge for the first time since April 8 alongside Christian Benteke in a two man attack against Norwich today - signed off his programme notes for the game with the message.
Rodgers acknowledged back to back league defeats against West Ham and Manchester United had not been good enough, but called for supporters to continue with their backing.

Finally, a personal message from me, to the supporters,” writes Rodgers. “I’m well aware that the last two league matches haven’t produced anywhere near the level you want to see from a team representing you and we are all working night and day to put that right.
“However this team, this group of players, needs your support and needs you to stay with them and help them as they bed-in and find their fluency.

“It is something that you have done brilliantly for us throughout my time here. It’s what sets you apart.”
Mamadou Sakho and Alberto Moreno are also in line for their first league starts of the campaign as Liverpool look to return to winning ways.
Rodgers added: “Anfield is important to us and the impact you make can be the difference. We never take it for granted and we are fully aware that the responsibility is on us to perform for you, not the other way round.”
