Brendan Rodgers: How Daniel Sturridge's return can transform Liverpool's season
Brendan Rodgers believes Daniel Sturridge's return can help transform the Liverpool squad
BRENDAN RODGERS believes the impending return to action of Daniel Sturridge can help transform Liverpool and believes his partnership with Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho will provide an “exciting new dynamic”.

Sturridge is in line to feature as a substitute against Norwich on Sunday when Liverpool will look to recover after successive Premier League defeats.
The England striker is hoping to launch his latest comeback after undergoing hip surgery in May and Rodgers believes Liverpool have missed the forward.

“Daniel has been training with team for a while, so will see how is in relation to this game,” said Rodgers.
“When Daniel is on his game there aren’t too many who can compare when he’s at his level. He’s one of the best there is.

“Few can stretch teams like he can with his pace and he has variety with his finishing. With Christian Benteke alongside him and Coutinho behind him, it’s an exciting dynamic.
“We’ve been waiting for that for quite a time. Daniel can give that different perspective to your team.”
Jordan Henderson is also set to test a heel injury in training today after returning from America where he was given injections.
Rodgers wants Liverpool to show more ambition, saying: “It’s about risk taking – for some reason that wee bit of risk has gone out of our game.”
