Borussia Monchengladbach 1 - Man City 2: Late Aguero penalty sinks resilient Germans
Sergio Aguero celebrates after scoring the winner
SERGIO AGUERO'S late penalty secured Manchester City's first three points of this season's Champions League campaign

The visitors largely dominated proceedings but always looked vulnerable at the back, with Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Mangala both absent.
Stand-ins Martin Demichelis and Nicolas Otamendi were both at fault early on and had their striker to thank for saving their blushes.

Otamendi brought down Raffael Arujo for a penalty but, after he stepped up to take it, Joe Hart guessed right to palm the spot kick away.
Aguero might have scored twice before the break form close range but fluffed his lines and City went in level at the break.
It took the hosts just 10 minutes after half-time to make the breakthrough as Lars Stindl took full advantage of some sloppy defending to slot home.
Still, City had the hosts on the back foot for large parts of the second half and their persistence paid off when Otamendi's volley went through a crowd of players and in off of a deflection.
And they continued to press, with Aguero at the heart of the action.
He won the penalty with just two minutes left and duly got back up to calmly slot it home to claim all three points in Germany.
