Aston Villa 0 - West Brom 1: Saido Berahino earns Tony Pulis's men victory at Villa Park
Saido Berahino celebrates after scoring the only goal of the game
SAIDO BERAHINO scored his first goal since implying he would go on strike as West Brom defeated Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park.

Berahino's strike in the first-half was enough to give three points to Tony Pulis's side and move them into the top-half of the table.
Villa's fans had barely anything to shout about all afternnon but thought they had equalised in the second-half only for Micah Richards' goal to be dissallowed, and Tim Sherwood's men now find themselves just one place above the bottom three.

Both Villa and West Brom started slowly as the Baggies kept it simple, and that approached paid dividends when they broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark.
James McClean's cross found Salomon Rondon, who pulled the ball back to James Morrison at the edge of the box, and the midfielder's strike hit Berahino's outstretched leg and deflected past Brad Guzan.
Villa struggled to find any momentum for the remainder of the half and it was a similar story after the break.

However with 72 minutes gone Villa thought they had levelled only for the goal to be disallowed.
Jack Grealish put in a cross which Richards headed home, however the referee called it back for a foul on Grealish just after he had sent in the cross.
And despite changing his system and making a number of changes, Tim Sherwood's men couldn't level the score and lost for the second game in a row.
