Arsenal star reveals Manchester United's repeated attempts to sign him
Tony Adams admits Sir Alex Ferguson tried to lure him to Manchester United
TONY ADAMS has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson made multiple attempts to get him to sign for Manchester United.

The imposing centre-back spent his entire career at Arsenal, making over 600 appearances for the club and was honoured with his own statue outside the Emirates Stadium.
However, the 48-year-old admits he wasn't always 'Mr Arsenal' and claims he was twice tempted by Fergie to join the Red Devils.

He told Inside Futbol: "Alex Ferguson wanted to sign me twice, just before Arsene Wenger came to the club.
"I was ready for a change and he was on to me every day.
"The chairman at the time, Peter Hill-Wood, convinced me that there was a good man on the way and that we were going to be ambitious financially."
Adams went on to lead the club to two Premier League and FA Cup Doubles in 1997/98 and 2001/02 in the Wenger era - making him the club's most successful captain.
