Arsenal News: Henry defends Wenger, Supporters' Trust inquiry, Reine-Adelaide in squad
Thierry Henry has defended Arsene Wenger's lack of movement in the transfer market

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has defended Arsene Wenger after the Gunners' boss failed to sign a striker in the transfer window.

Wenger was rebuffed by Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and refused to shell out £50million to land Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain, but Henry insists Wenger will have done all he could to bring in a quality striker.
Speaking to Sky Sports Henry said: “I do not know if the boss wanted Benzema or not, but the player must also want to come.

“What are you going to offer to the guy who is playing for one of the best teams in the world, knowing that he is playing there week in, week out, and performing well?
“So I do not think that Arsene did not want to bring any other players - that would have been another story if he had really said: ‘I do not want to bring in any other players.’ But he said that if it can be done, then I will try to bring someone."
Despite Henry's defence of Wenger, the Arsenal Supporters' Trust have urged the board to open an inquiry into the club's lack of activity in the transfer market.

Petr Cech, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in a £10m deal, turned out to be the club's only signing of the summer.
Without any additional new faces the Gunners have named 17-year-old Jeff Reine-Adelaide in their Champions League squad after some impressive pre-season performances.
The midfielder joined the club from Lens in the summer, and has been named on the clubs 'A' list for the competition as he is ineligible for the 'B' list, having only recently moved to the Emirates.
Hector Bellerin has been included on the 'B' list to make room for Reine-Adelaide, while Joel Campbell is also named in the squad.
