ROMA have confirmed their on-loan goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny dislocated his finger is a collision with Luis Suarez last night.
The Poland international, loaned out from Arsenal for the season, was subbed off 50 minutes into Roma's 1-1 Champions League clash with Barcelona.
He received a boot to the hand when diving for a loose ball that had cannoned off Barca striker Suarez.
Suarez, who scored the opener 21 minutes into the clash, stretched for the ball in effort to deflect it towards goal.“The Giallorossi goalkeeper has suffered a dislocation of the fourth finger on his left hand and will undergo tests in the next few hours to confirm the extent of the injury,” a statement from Roma read.Szczesny has impressed between the sticks for Roma this season, helping the side to wins over Juventus and Frosinone in Serie A.But he could do nothing about Suarez's goal after the player headed home from close range Ivan Rakitic's cross.Suarez had twice previously got the better of Szczesny, when the pair clashed in the Premier League.Then-Liverpool striker Suarez scored the second as the Reds' stunned their league rivals 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in August 2011.And he was on target again a season later - this time bagging the opener in a 2-2 away draw in January 2013.
