Arsenal hero slams Man Utd and Liverpool 'madness' but questions Wenger's transfer policy
Martin Keown has questioned Arsene Wsenger's decision to sign just one player in the transfer window
MARTIN KEOWN thinks Arsenal should have signed a striker in the transfer window but says the amount of money being spent by Premier League clubs is "madness."

The Gunners signed just one player - goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea - in the summer transfer window, while others around them have splashed the cash.
Manchester United caught the eye with the biggest deal on transfer deadline day as they .

The deal for for the 19-year-old striker with add-ons based on trophies and appearances.
That comes after United shelled out £25m on Morgan Schneiderlin and the same on Memphis Depay, £14m on Bastian Schweinsteiger and £12m on Matteo Darmian.

Elsewhere, Liverpool paid huge sums for Christian Benteke (£32.5m) and Roberto Firmino (£29m), and parted with £12.5m for Nathaniel Clyne.
"There seems to be utter madness in the transfer window and Arsene Wenger has stepped away from it," Keown said.
"They badly needed a striker. Only time will tell if he is right but the early signs are that it is an area of weakness.
"I think there's been a missed opportunity."
