Arsenal confirm Jack Wilshere needs another operation and is out until Christmas
Jack Wilshere is out for three months
ARSENAL have confirmed Jack Wilshere will require more surgery and will be out until Christmas.

Wilshere, who suffered a fracture in his leg in pre-season, had a setback last week ahead of the Stoke clash.
It was hoped he would return to action for Arsenal following the international break but Arsene Wenger admitted on Friday that his progress had slowed.

And today Arsenal confirmed he would need another operation.
"Due to a slow healing response from a fracture suffered in August, the club can confirm that Jack Wilshere is to undergo an operation to his left fibula," a club statement said.

"The decision to intervene has been taken quickly after regular reviews by specialists, who feel that Jack’s scans show that the healing process is not progressing as well as expected.
"Jack will have surgery in London in the forthcoming days. This will involve inserting a small plate in his left fibula. Jack is likely to be out for approximately three months.
"Everyone at the club wishes Jack well with his rehabilitation."

Wilshere flew out to Dubai in August to help his recuperation, and at the time was expected back in a matter of weeks.
But his injury problems flared up again.
"I expected him to be back and available after the international break but unfortunately he had a little setback," Wenger said on Friday.
Arsenal are also without Danny Welbeck until around Christmas with a knee injury.

The striker's injury - after Wenger failed to sign an outfield player in the transfer window - led Arsenal fans to accuse the manager of lying.
"I am surprised that people accused me of lying. I did not know Welbeck had had a bad setback," Wenger said.
"I gave you the information I had. I did not lie to you."
