Nikica Jelavic played for Slaven Bilic when he managed the Croatian national team |
SLAVEN BILIC has moved for Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic as he looks to bolster West Ham’s attacking options.
Hull forward Jelavic held talks yesterday over a £3m move back to the Premier League and is set to undergo a medical on Monday.
West Ham manager Bilic knows Jelavic, 30, well from his time in charge of the Croatia national team and believes he will add to the competition for places at the club.
Bilic is without injured duo Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll, but saw Diafra Sakho score in the 3-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday.
Jelavic was wanted by West Ham before he moved to Hull in January 2014 for £7m from Everton.
He has scored once in five appearances this season for Steve Bruce’s side, but did not feature in the 2-0 win over Preston on Saturday.
