David De Gea looks set to stay at United for one more season |
DAVID DE GEA has reportedly been offered a £12million signing-on fee by Real Madrid to see out his contract at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu.
De Gea has been left out of United's first two Premier League games by Louis van Gaal which has fuelled speculation his days at Old Trafford are numbered.
However, according to the Daily Mirror, De Gea has been offered a staggering signing-on fee by Real to see out the final year of his contract with the Red Devils.
Madrid are thought to be keen to pay around £25m for De Gea's this summer, although United are believed to be holding out for a fee of around £35m.
De Gea's situation is also not helped by the fact he doesn't want to play for United.
Louis van Gaal said before the 1-0 win over Aston Villa: "We've talked with him [De Gea] and he was fully agreed with our decision. We have a goalkeeping coach, Frans Hoek, so I'm not doing everything alone.
"Frans had a meeting with David and he asked him, 'Do you want to play?' The answer was no."
