Yannick Bolasie has admitted he wants a move to a 'top club' |
NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news from White Hart Lane.
Yannick Bolasie has hinted that he wants to leave Crystal Palace for Tottenham this summer.
The Congo international has been linked with a move to Spurs throughout the transfer window and he has now admitted it's the 'right time' for a switch.
He told reporters: "I am a loyal guy, but this is a game and a business. Opportunities to play for a top club do not swing by every day.
You would have to look into it to see if it suits you and your family. At my age it could be the right time, but it has to be right for the club as well."
New signing Clinton N'Jie came close to joining rivals Arsenal, according to reports.
The 22-year-old signed a five-year deal with Spurs last weekend for a reported £12million, although Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed a late offer was submitted.
He said: "We have received an offer from another big English club which is complicating things."
And according to French publication L’Equipe, the mystery club in question was Arsenal, who had hoped to scupper the deal.
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Hugo Lloris will not be leaving Tottenham this summer - ending speculation of a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United were believed to be monitoring the France international whilst the David De Gea saga continues to unravel.
However, Pochettino insists there is no danger of the 28-year-old leaving the club as he is 'happy' in north London.
He said: "There are a lot of rumours. Hugo is very happy to be here. His commitment with the club is high."
