Jodie Kidd is hotly-tipped to join Top Gear |
THE Top Gear rumour has been set whirring again after model Jodie Kidd was spotted leaving The Ivy after lunch with Chris Evans.
The 36-year-old self-confessed motor head has been touted as one of the favourites to join the Radio 2 DJ on Top Gear following the mass exodus by the former team in the wake of Jeremy Clarkson's "fracas" with producer Oisin Tymon in March.
Jodie and TV presenter Zoe Ball were seen leaving the famous London restaurant with Chris, 49, after an apparently secret meeting, according to the Sun.
She has previously said that the BBC Two motoring series needs a "woman's touch" and had admitted to being a "massive fan".
"If I had a pound every time someone asked me about that show I think I would be a millionaire right now," she told the Daily Star, adding: "I was a massive fan of Top Gear, but I have no news to share on the new programme."
F1 driver Jensen Button is believed to be joining the show |
Jodie, who presents Channel 5's Classic Car Show, said that she hadn't yet signed anything.
F1 driver Jensen button is another favourite to join Top Gear along with Jodie as part of the new line up on the show.
Chris was announced as the new Top Gear presenter in June follow speculation over who would be replacing Jeremy.
Soon after his appointment, Chris revealed that he would be looking for a new team to work on the show but there has been little news since then.
Production on the new series of Top Gear has begun and filming will be getting underway in the next few weeks.
Top Gear with Chris Evans will return in 2016
