PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN captain Thiago Silva has called the French champions a bigger club than Manchester United with Angel Di Maria set to complete his £44m transfer.
The Argentine was spotted in Doha ahead of a medical and then flying to Paris to finalise the move.
And the 27-year-old's probable new team-mate believes PSG are only behind Real Madrid and Barcelona amongst Europe's top clubs.
He said: "I think that people now need to respect PSG as a club, and our position as one of the big clubs in Europe.
"Real Madrid and Barcelona are probably on another level, but after that if you are joining PSG it means you are probably taking a step up."
United have reportedly turned their attention to Barcelona winger Pedro.
Chief executive Ed Woodward is due to fly into the Spanish city on Tuesday and negotiate a £22m deal for the Spain international.
