New signing Oriol Romeu could make his Southampton from the bench debut after completing a £5million move from Chelsea, while injured manager Ronald Koeman returns to the dugout at St Mary's.
Steven Caulker misses out because of an infection and Jordy Clasie (hamstring) is still absent.
 
Ryan Bertrand (knee) is out along with long-term casualty Fraser Forster.
Jay Rodriguez continues his rehabilitation from the bench.
Meanwhile, Everton's Leighton Baines is still out but Kevin Mirallas has recovered from the ankle knock suffered against Watford to take a place on the bench.
Arouna Kone is rewarded with a start after his goal last weekend and John Stones continues to marshal the back four despite interest from Chelsea.
