Russell Brand QUITS social media and the Trews in favour of 'learning' and 'thinking'
Russell Brand filmed his final episode of the Trews
SELF-STYLED revolutionary Russell Brand is know for airing his controversial opinions on social media and his YouTube channel the Trews, but he has decided to bid goodbye to these platforms of expression.

The 40-year-old comedian has dramatically announced the end of his irate online rants as he filmed the final episode of his YouTube series.
Russell's reasoning behind his abrupt exit from social media was that it would enable him to "think" and "learn" as he bemoaned the media's coverage of his channel.

"I'm not going to be doing the Trews, I’m not going to be on Twitter, or Facebook.
"I’m going to be learning because I know real change is coming and I want to be part of that," he announced.

Russell wants to 'learn' and 'think' for a while
"Media behaves in a very sort of predicable and formulaic manner,” he contiuned.
"If you speak out about that process you become the recipient the target of such incredible condemnation it’s in a way overwhelming and in others completely understandable."
In the short videos, Russell weighs in on current affairs and politics and is known for making sensational comments such as when he famously denounced the minute's silence for the victims of the Tunisia terror attack as "bulls**t" last month.
The outspoken star also took a swipe at the Queen, and launched a shocking attack on her German heritage, saying she should be called "Mrs Bratwurst-Kraut-Nazi".

"I think we’ve gone as far as we can with the Trews for now," he said.
"It feels to me like a spiralling sort avalanche and I want to spend some time learning, understanding, developing, living a life outside of a crazy kind of discourse."
His fans – 10.7million followers on Twitter, 1.2million subscribers on YouTube and 3.5million Facebook likes – might be saddened to see the political activist eradicating his online presence, but they may take solace in the fact that he was only stopping the Trews "for now".
"Trew be continued," he said. "We will be ending on a bad pun."
