Revealed: The three phone calls that persuaded Pedro to snub Man Utd for £21m Chelsea move
Pedro was convinced to snub Manchester United for Chelsea
PEDRO is set to join Chelsea in a £22.1million deal after rejecting Manchester United.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho swooped for the Barcelona star right under the noses of rivals United yesterday.
Pedro flew into London yesterday and will reportedly undergo a medical today before sealing his move to Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old looked bound for United earlier this week with red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward flying to Barcelona to wrap up negotiations.

But News News Blog Sport understands Pedro was put off Old Trafford and convinced to head to the capital after three important phone calls.

Mourinho called the Spain international personally to sell Chelsea and explain how he would fit into his first team.

Then the Blues boss had midfielder Cesc Fabregas appeal to Pedro using all the persuasion of a close friend.

And finally, Mourinho had Fabregas' partner Daniella Semaan speak to Pedro's other half Carolina Martin to convince her how great living in London would be.

Those discussions convinced the Canary Islands-born star to choose Chelsea over United in a wrenching Barcelona exit.

Although he may have already had his doubts about United, from more public dissenting voices.

Barca legend Hristo Stoichkov was brutal in his assessment of his former Nou Camp manager Van Gaal's abilities.

Then there is the harsh treatment of Victor Valdes - a former team-mate and good pal of Pedro - under the Dutchman and the ensuing situation involving David De Gea.
