Revealed: Arsenal's shock bid to sign £100m Man United targets Muller and Lewandowski
Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller are admired by Arsene Wenger
ARSENAL have reportedly failed to lure Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in the market for a top striker signing, having brought just £10million Petr Cech to the Emirates this summer.
Wenger has publicly insisted he is happy with his forward options, but has admitted he is ready to splash the cash should the right player become available.

And according to the Mail Online, Arsenal made enquiries to Bayern about signing either Muller or Lewandowski, who are both valued at £50m.

Germany forward Muller and Poland hitman Lewandowski are both targets for Manchester United, but Bayern are said to have made it clear they are not for sale.

Wenger has since turned his attention to Real Madrid frontman Karim Benzema, but he is also unlikely to be allowed to leave.

After Arsenal's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, Wenger reiterated his belief in his strikers.

"We have good strikers," he said. "Walcott was not used today and he's an exceptional striker, Welbeck is coming back, we have Alexis.

"We have a strong striking force."
