Ouch: Read the Fantastic Four director's DELETED tweet blaming studio for film flop
Kate Mara as Sue Storm in Fantastic Four
FANTASTIC FOUR director Josh Trank tweeted an angry message blaming studio interference for the film's terrible reviews and expected box office flop. Read the deleted message here.

Fantastic Four is getting some decidedly less than fantastic reviews.
The troubled blockbuster is also expected to post not very fantastic returns at the box office this weekend.
Director Josh Trank is NOT happy with the final film, himself, and in a recent tweet he laid the blame firmly on external interference.
And then he immediately deleted the tweet.
Luckily we have a copy of it right here.

The deleted tweet
"A year ago I had a fantastic version of this (film)," he wrote.
"And it would've received great reviews. You'll probably never see it. That's reality, though"
It seems very likely that the film's studio, Fox, prompted the rapid withdrawal of the angry message.
However, screen grabs of the incendiary tweet have been racing all over the internet.
No doubt, Trask will be privately (but fantastically) happy about this.

It wouldn't be the first time that an artist has blamed others for his failures, but the young director has already proven what he can do with comic book style material with 2012's exciting and innovative film Chronicle.
Reviews for the Fantastic Four have been mainly poor and the film has a shockingly low aggregated score of 9% on the film critic site Rotten Tomatoes.
Rumours of reshoots and internal conflict have dogged the troubled production.
Fans voiced their unhappiness with casting choices early on and then seized on Kate Mara's rather obvious blond wig in the trailer footage as evidence of last minute frantic reshoots.

In a market crowded with critically acclaimed, high-performing comic book adaptations like The Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers franchises, The Fantastic Four always looked like the underdog.
2005's Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer, starring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd had modest success and failed to establish an enthusiatic following.
The new film looks set to struggle to achieve even that.
The Fantastic Four is out now in cinemas.
