METAL Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is shaping up to be one of the top titles in 2015, with new updates being released on what inventive gameplay aspects to expect.
New trailers from the publisher this week have revealed that MGSV will include the reflex mode and inflatable decoys as options to play your game.Showing off the moves in the latest clip, Reflex Mode allows for a few more seconds in slowed down time to react after being spotted by an enemy, while the inflatable decoy can be used to sneak past your target and then quietly dispatch them.The Phantom Pain, out on September 1 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, is bursting with cool idea like this, as well as high quality cutscene and top lighting effects.Fans can also expect to unlock new features, with Japanese sources this week confirming that players will be able to earn high difficulties having completed the game.Your first run through with Big Boss will include no difficulty level, while fans will also be able to play with gameplay mechanics ranging to disrupting equipment supplies to your enemies.A new update from Konami has also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Online’s service will go live October 6 for consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4) and Jan 2016 for PC.WARNING: Game violence included both trailers below:Gamescom also saw more details revealed about the Mother Base features set to be included in the Phantom Pain.The expandable home base can be customised and upgraded however a player wants to deploy in the game.It allows you to research equipment that best suits your gameplay style, while also allowing for fireteams to run missions for you to help disrupt your enemies.Building the Mother Base will also allow for the eventual construction of Forward Operating Bases – FOBs – an MMO style mode where resources can be gained, but can also open you up to other players who can ransack your place.Acquiring security counter-measures will be a must.
