Manchester United told to sign 'special' striker to partner Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney is currently Man United's lone striker
MANCHESTER UNITED need a 'special' striker to accompany Wayne Rooney, according to former goalkeeper Raimond van der Gouw.

Wayne Rooney is currently leading the line for United and has come under fire for his first two performances of the season.
The captain has looked ineffective since being moved up top by Louis van Gaal, after previously being deployed as a No10 last term.

And former Red Devils' shotstopper Van Der Gouw believes Van Gaal must address the issue now and sign a 'special' strike-partner for Rooney.
He told talkSPORT: "You need a good striker but you also need something special, something extra and maybe they need one [of those type of players.

"I thought they had very good strikers but most of them are gone. I think they need an extra striker."
The club currently only have two other strikers on their books - Javier Hernandez and James Wilson, both of whom are desperately short of Premier League game time.
