Sergio Ramos is set to sign a new deal with Real Madrid |
MANCHESTER UNITED could see their hopes of landing Sergio Ramos dashed, according to reports.
Ramos appeared to be openly agitating for a move away from the Bernabeu at the start of the summer after a dispute with the club's president Florentino Perez.
Recent reports indicated the centre-half had turned down a new deal that would see him earn £6million a season.
However, Ramos has been asking for a new contract that would see his salary increase to £7m.
And according to The Independent, Real will cave into Ramos' demands.
The report suggests Ramos has been tempted by the new offer put on the table.
It is thought Real are preparing to make an announcement on Ramos' deal imminently.
United have already seen a £28.6m bid for the Spaniard rejected and it would be a massive blow if Ramos commits his future to Los Blancos as Louis van Gaal also lost out on the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels.
